About me
Hi there - my name is Jackie June, and I am an INELDA-trained End-of-Life Doula.
As an End-of-Life Doula, my goal is to help you plan for one of life's most difficult and daunting experiences - death.

Originally from a small town in the south of England, I relocated to the United States in my early twenties. I now live in St. Petersburg, FL, with my two adult children and an energetic 3-year-old pup.
What is an End-of-Life Doula?
An end-of-life doula, also known as a death doula, is a trained professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and their families during the end-of-life process. End-of-life doulas work with people who are nearing death, as well as those who are living with a life-limiting illness.
The role of an end-of-life doula can vary depending on the needs of the individual and their family, but it may include helping with planning and preparations for death, providing companionship and emotional support, offering guidance on medical decisions and end-of-life care options, helping with legacy projects, assisting with practical tasks such as creating advance directives and arranging for hospice care, and providing grief support for the family after the person has passed away.

End-of-life doulas are not medical professionals and do not provide medical care.
Instead, they focus on providing comfort, emotional support, and practical assistance to
individuals and families as they navigate the end-of-life journey.
Companion & Respite Visits
Enjoy peace of mind when you run errands, attend appointments, or go to work. I can provide company to your loved one so that they don't have to be alone while you're away.
Advance Directives Planning
An end-of-life doula can play a crucial role in helping individuals and their families with advance directive planning.
Advance directives are legal documents that outline an individual's preferences for medical care and treatment in the event that they are no longer able to make decisions for themselves.
Veterans & Military
After graduating from high school, my husband Matt joined the US Army. However, years later he was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease, which was determined to be a 100% service-connected disability. Through my experience caring for Matt, I gained familiarity with the VA and its various systems.
Vigil Planning
An end-of-life doula can be instrumental in helping to plan a vigil for a terminally ill individual. A vigil is a sacred and meaningful time spent with the dying person in their final moments, and it can provide comfort and closure for both the individual and their loved ones.
Legacy Projects
Allow me to assist you in creating a meaningful legacy for your loved ones. This could involve writing letters, engaging in an art project, or making amends and reconciliations with friends and family members you haven't spoken to in a while.
My Approach
My Approach: In 2009, when my husband was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease, we did something that is still uncommon in today's society - we had extensive conversations about death. We made plans for the future, including his funeral arrangements, and discussed what a "good death" meant to him. We explored all the options, including where he wanted to be, who he wanted by his side, and his burial preferences.
We talked about everything.
My hope is to encourage you to do the same. You don't have to wait for a terminal illness diagnosis to plan for your end of life. We all have ideas about how we want our final moments to be, and I can help you explore and clarify what those wishes mean for you.
